Twenty-five years ago today, arguably the greatest basketball team ever assembled took home the gold medal for the U.S. at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
It was the first time that NBA players were allowed to participate in the Olympics, after years of only collegiate players being eligible. Team USA wanted to make a statement after settling for bronze in 1988. So what did they do? America's best basketball minds constructed an insanely stacked roster that included 11 future Hall-of-Famers and the 1992 Naismith College Player of the year.

With Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson leading the way, the dream team completely dominated all of their opponents by an average of 44 points. This team was too big, too fast, too strong, and simply too skilled for the rest of the world. It was an exciting sight to watch—one fans could only DREAM to see again.
